Over the course of the last ten years, there has been much interest in projecting a bleak future for our world: just think of the popularity of a show like The Walking Dead, the Hunger Games trilogy, or Margaret Atwood’s Maddadam series.
But what if instead of ending the world as we know it, we thought about starting over? Germinal asks a provocative question: If we had the opportunity to create the world from scratch, how would we do it? Join our World Stage Scholar-in-Residence Denise Cruz in a discussion of what art can teach us about imagining a world anew, and in thinking about beginnings rather than endings. When we build the new world, what is most important for us to include? Tweet your idea @WorldStageTO to start the discussion early.
Join us for a series of Pre-show Teas with our World Stage Scholars-in-Residence.
