Join us for our fourth conversation of Season 2 as we speak with CBC personality, educator, and playwright Amanda Parris .
You probably know her as host of the CBC Arts TV and online show Exhibitionists and CBC Radio's Marvin's Room , but you may not know that as a playwright, Amanda will have her first full-scale production later this year. (Cahoots and Obsidian are staging Other Side of the Game in the fall!) We sit down with Amanda to talk about the road that has taken her from theatre to radio and back again, and what it means to build a creative life across mediums.
Can't make it to the conversation? The first hour will be live-streamed! Follow us on Facebook to get the link, and join the conversation from 7-8pm. As always, we will also be live tweeting the evening from start to finish @DarkNightsTO.
What is Dark Nights?
Dark Nights is a salon-style conversation series where local creators are invited to share their philosophies on life in the arts. One Wednesday each month at the Gladstone Hotel, Dark Nights invites a young creative voice to stimulate a conversation with everyone in attendance. With an emphasis on demystifying the creative life, this series challenges our success driven culture head on by establishing space for real conversations. Follow us everywhere @DarkNightsTO to stay up to date.
