January 11- 25, 2016
Join us this winter for your chance to get up close and personal with some of the region's most celebrated artists.

From November to May, an exciting slate of artists in residence at Artscape Gibraltar Point will create unique programming and share professional skills, knowledge and experiences with residency participants.

Winter Island is a rare opportunity for established and emerging arts practitioners to live and work closely with a diverse range of mentors. The program involves immersive, specialized workshops, artistic interventions and studio visits, as well as plenty of time for relaxed conversations over dinner and spontaneous activities.
Artists wishing to participate in Winter Islands can apply for residency periods of one week to one month. Plan your stay around your interests and the Artists-in-Residence you'd like to learn from.

January 11 - 25th, we welcome Performance and Multidisciplinary artist Marisa Hoicka. Get to know this award-winning artists through an artist talk in week 1 and gain the benefit of her experience and a fresh look at your work during her studio visits in week 2.
