Write On Readings fosters the voices of emerging writers in Toronto who are interested in showcasing their dramatic work.
While also engaging the communities of West Toronto, particularly that of Bloor West, Roncesvalles, the Junction, and the Junction Triangle in dialogues about theatre, storytelling and the performing arts.
We have had four successful showcases so far! This quarter, we will be showcasing our third curated evening of works in development based on the theme of IDENTITY, at the Junction City Music Hall.

A bit about the facilitators:
Laurel Brady is a writer, actress, and speaker. Her focus is on creating new works of theatre including dark comedies and movement-based theatre as well as comedic short films. Laurel is writing and performing in her first web series in winter 2016, and is performing in a remount of her first one-woman show. Laurel also uses her love of the arts to teach creativity and improvisation to youth and in corporate settings.
Gina J. Brintnell is an artist, academic, arts instructor, and accidental dancer. She holds a M.A. from the University of Toronto’s Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies. She spends a lot of time thinking about the depiction of grotesque femininity, secrets, and finding clean socks.
Suzanna Derewicz is a published writer, freelance editor and arts administrator. She has poetry forthcoming in the Minola Review, and has recently been published in In/Words Magazine, untethered, (parenthetical) and The Quilliad. Her debut chapbook Maggie Monologues is being released in Fall 2016 by words(on)pages press. She is currently the Communications Coordinator at Mixed Company Theatre.
