This is a ten month maternity leave placement running from September 6, 2016 to June 2017, with the possibility of an extension.

The Production Manager is responsible for the production and technical elements of the Centre’s activities throughout the facility including those taking place on the stage, in the lobbies, and exterior spaces.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
•Schedules and supervises House Crew and IATSE Local 58 and 822 members sent to work at the Centre.
•Monitors daily the production activities and work schedules of the Centre, including load-ins, performances, corporate events, load outs, and other production activities.
•Liaises with clients and internal departments to ensure smooth and professional performance and event management.
•Prepares cost effective and thoughtful performance and event estimates for Programming and Corporate Sales for performances and events at the Centre in a timely manner.
•Creates timely production and stage labour expense reports as part of the Settlement with client for productions and events.
•Fully utilizes the Centre’s event management software (EBMS) to provide the Centre with performance, event, maintenance, and other information where appropriate for internal organizational and communication purposes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
•Min. of 5 years experience in theatre and production management with experience in budgeting and financial accountability.
•Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills to coordinate conflicting deadlines and interruptions.
•Min. of 3 years experience in a similar position in a rental and/or presenting venue and corporate events experience
•Experience with a wide range of theatrical activities such as dance, concerts, musicals, headliners, world music, etc.
•Experience with supervision in a unionized environment.
