TIFF, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is accepting applications for the contract position of: Programmer, Industry Conference
TIFF is dedicated to presenting the best of international and Canadian cinema to film lovers in our home TIFF Bell Lightbox. Our aim is to become a creative, community and global leader, and one of the world’s premiere organizations in the discovery and understanding of film. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who wants to be a part of our ever growing team, and be part of Toronto's cultural history.
Reporting to the Industry Programming Manager, the Industry Programmer will;
Plan and oversee the production and schedule of Industry Conference sessions at Glenn Gould Studio
Research panel topics and guest speakers and identify relevant trends in the industry
Work closely with festival programming team, including screening films
Negotiate speaker’s fees
Work with our presenting partners and sponsors
Oversee the budget for guest speakers and the event production
Manage Associate Programmer and Conference Coordinator
Update Industry Conference websites with panel descriptions Create content for Industry Conference Brochure (panel titles, pitches, times, venues etc.)
Run daily events of the conference, including introducing all sessions
Oversee the event production at the Conference Venue
Write a detailed post-mortem of the event
