The University of Windsor's School of Dramatic Art invites applications for a Three-Year Limited-Term faculty position in Acting at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 2016. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
The School of Dramatic Art at the University of Windsor is one of the oldest and best established theatre and drama programs in the country. Our graduates have made a mark on both the world stage and in film, as well as in education. Currently Dramatic Art offers honours degree programs in Acting, Drama in Education and Community, and Dramatic Art, and a wide ranging subscription season of plays through University Players that serve the community. The School of Dramatic Art operates in a state-of-the-art facility, which opened in July 2003 and contains spacious studios for Acting, Voice, Movement, and Drama in Education and Community, and a flexible-seat Studio Theatre. All studios are equipped for video-conferencing, sound, and have computer connections for power point delivery. University Players, the acting company of the School of Dramatic Art, also operates a 322 seat main stage in Essex Hall. The City of Windsor has a vital and expanding cultural community and we are within easy driving distance to Stratford, Toronto, Detroit, and Chicago.
