Drawing on his performance platform Te Toki Haruru, New Zealand based Charles Koroneho will share his artistic methodologies in movement, creative and performance research.
Movement Culture Workshop is a 5-day creative intensive, a philosophically intercultural and interdisciplinary research forum. Creative concepts are practitioner centric, emphasizing individual artistic processes and sharing collaborative and communal practices. Movement explorations are focused on hybridizing dance, body weather laboratory, mau rakau, martial arts and movement research practices. A foundational idea for the workshop is the emergence of the communal body and activation of relational space.
The objective of the workshop is to facilitate communal space, promote health and an appreciation of art, performance, culture and politics. Movement Culture Workshop is a return to yielding the body to curiosity.
