WORKSHOP 1: Mastering the Art of Partnerships and Collaboration in Arts & Culture
Wednesday, January 18, 2016 – 6pm-9pm
Partnerships and collaborations help organizations identify and address skill needs, and enhance arts programming and creative practices. This workshop will introduce you to partnership fundamentals using practical examples and exercises drawn from the art and culture sector. Co-presenters Alicks Girowski and Gilad Cohen will cover how to assess your readiness to partner and determine some potential opportunities. When we work together, we accomplish things we might not be able to do on our own.

WORKSHOP 2: Project Management for Arts & Culture

Artists and creative professionals live and thrive in a world of projects. Projects can be large or small, last from weeks or years, and involve a multitude of people. Whatever the project – whether you’re preparing a grant, staging a performance, planning an exhibition, scheduling renovations, or developing a resource – efficient project management can have a big impact on your bottom line. Presenter Inga Untiks will explore how applying project management techniques can benefit you and provide hands-on activities to help you break down projects into manageable tasks.

The key to a successful organization or business is acquiring and managing strong talent. In the arts and culture sector, that not only means surrounding yourself with skilled professionals but also commanding the ability to motivate and keep them! So how can you establish and ensure productivity from/for your team? Presenter Sandy Lee will help you decode the need-to-know aspects aspects of human resources and best practices to support a happy, productive, and engaged team.
