Facebook advertising offers excellent value for organizations who want to create targeted campaigns to reach new people and convert them into customers. In this workshop you’ll learn how Facebook advertising fits into the bigger digital picture, and integrates with the rest of your online marketing efforts. Learn the different types of ads you can run, how to target your ads based on demographics and geographic areas, and what an appropriate budget is for a Facebook ad campaign. We’ll discuss which types of images are the most effective for Facebook ads and what kind of messaging will prompt people to take action (and actually click on your ad). Discover how to create lookalike audiences and build campaigns to find new customers that have similar interests as your current customers. Learn retargeting strategies so you can advertise to people who have visited your website recently and give them a little nudge to come back. Finally we’ll explore the reports that Facebook offers to advertisers, so you can evaluate your efforts and know which ads performed the best.
Note: Laptops are required for this workshop. Attendees should have attended Camp Tech’s Social Media Advanced workshop, or have similar experience (you should already have a Facebook page for your organization, and be familiar with how Facebook works). No previous Facebook advertising experience necessary. You will be asked to create a Facebook advertising account in advance of the workshop, but will not need to purchase ads to participate.
