Dr. Faustus, directed by Rosanna Saracino, tells the tale of an intellectual scholar, who turns to the art of magic and necromancy to gain ultimate knowledge and power. In this bold new production, an all-female cast evoke a visually and physically provocative insight into the sense of spiritual emptiness that contemporary society seems fixed to fill up with transient delights. After selling her soul in exchange for twenty-four years of service by Lucifer’s minion, Mephistophilis, our Faustus discovers that whirlwind of spectacle she has bartered for, lead her longing and conflicted. She is unable to recover the repentance and salvation she so desperately sought and may have lost, perhaps, evermore.
