Two hungry strangers, one French, one English, find shelter from a storm in a cold and barren land under a solitary magical tree bearing delicious fruit. Can they find a way to communicate? Will they get along? Can they share?
This charming, funny and insightful play follows the story of two characters who overcome the barriers of language and mistrust through the power of play!
“I was excited because there was French and English!” - Student, Hawthorne
“I like it because some parts were sad and some parts were funny! I liked the magical tree.” - Student, Ben School
“It is often difficult to find a production which is of interest to all grades from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6, but this lively and humorous show captivated us all. As well, it left us with much “food for thought.” -Teacher, Mabin School
“Theatre Direct’s revival of David S. Craig and Robert Morgan’s Head À Tête is the perfect family show. It gives young audiences and their parents a chance to laugh, learn and share a story about antagonism that becomes friendship.” - Jon Kaplan, NOW Magazine
