What is the hipTIX Program?

hipTIX is designed to make theatre more accessible by offering $5 performing arts tickets to students ages 15-29. hipTIX is an active community initiative that partners with valued TAPA members to collectively inspire our youth through the performing arts. STUDENTS DESERVE $5 TICKETS!

How can you help support hipTIX?

To give YOU the student $5 tickets, hipTIX needs the support of your favorite theatre companies. If there are shows you want to see through hipTIX, let that company know they should support this program by offering hipTIX! Also, let us know what you want to see and we will fight to get you $5 tickets!

How can I buy hipTIX?

In-Person at the T.O.TIX Booth located in downtown Toronto on Yonge-Dundas Square easily accessible by TTC (directly above Dundas Subway Station). T.O.TIX is open from Tuesday-Saturday, 12noon-6:30pm

Bring hipTIX to your school!

hipTIX is perfect for students who want to experience authentic theatre outside of a class matinee and on their own terms. hipTIX frequently visits schools across Toronto to talk about the shows available and the incredible educational opportunities in the performing arts community. We frequently partner with participating companies to bring representatives of the Toronto performing arts community to your school! What if I’m not from Toronto and I want to see a show with hipTIX?

Any student from around the world between the ages of 15-29 can take advantage of hipTIX with a valid student I.D. card or ISIC card (International Student Identification Card)*

What if I want to see theatre outside of Toronto for $5?

eyeGO is a programme that is designed to allow secondary school students to attend various performances for $5.

Terms & Conditions

1. hipTIX tickets are available to select performances at participating theatres for $5.00
2. hipTIX tickets are available to any student with a valid student I.D. card (high school, university, and ISIC accepted) and must be presented at the box office in order to redeem a hipTIX ticket
3. hipTIX tickets may be purchased in-person through T.O.TIX or online at www.totix.ca
4. Purchases at T.O.TIX are subject to a nominal convenience fee
5. hipTIX tickets are subject to availability. All sales are final.
