Launch: October 20, 2020
Cybersecurity is as much a question of mutual aid and interdependence as it is a strategic issue. By protecting our data, we avoid major risks and create a more secure network.
Arts organizations are rarely prepared to plan their cyber defence. This is why IMAA, in collaboration with a number of experts, has developed Cyber Safe and Sound, a free microsite hosted on IMAASource to equip the sector to meet these challenges. After two years of research, IMAA is proposing a cybersecurity strategy that explains cyber risks and encourages the use of best practices.
Taking the form of a team meeting, this resource presents basic principles for all members of an organization. It also offers guidance in establishing policies adapted to the artistic milieu. Based on a risk management approach, this site seeks to meet the sector's cybersecurity needs. It acts as a repository of knowledge for topics such as working with personal devices, legal obligations, and preparing for and responding to cyber threats.
