TAPA announces the launch of an online Green Panel Series in partnership with the Canadian Green Alliance (CGA), and producing partners at Singular Sensation.
Have you ever felt like you’d love to know more about the fight against climate change but some of the topics seem inaccessible? Do you ever wish you had some pals around a table to just chat, laugh, and dive deep into some of these topics? The Green Panel Series aims to do just that: bring together groups of experts on the intersection between arts and climate to explore what exactly our relationship as arts workers is to the crisis. What are our responsibilities? How can we change and adapt? Who can we look to for guidance and help?
Once a month join us to explore topics like:
Green Theatre: What The Heck Is It?
Green Producing: Can Sustainable Theatre Make You Some Green?
Green Design: From the Ground Up
Climate Justice in the Theatre World
Ecoableism: Disabled Creatives Take Center Stage
Digital Theatre: Is Virtual Sustainable?
Disposable Theatre: Bringing the Circular Economy To The Stage And more!
The first panel “Green Theatre: What The Heck Is It?” airs March 14th from 7:30-9:00 pm (EST) and will feature Kevin Matthew Wong, Alexandra Lord, Harveen Sandhu, and Aisha Lesley Bentham, moderated by Julia McLellan. We can’t wait to laugh, gab, and brainstorm a just way forward for our industry, community and theatre family.
