As The Second City continues its concentrated efforts to bring diverse voices to the forefront of of the comedy world we are proud to kick off our 5th annual Diversity weekend offering workshops in sketch comedy writing and improv and the launch of our annual Diversity Fellowship.

The weekend begins with a Meet and Greet on Saturday May 5th followed by a Diversity Showcase at 7pm featuring an exciting line up of Toronto's best diverse comedians and performers showcasing stand-up, sketch, solo material and more.

On <Sunday May 7th from 10am-1pm participants can write and develop their comedic voice through a Sketch Writing Workshop and then In the afternoon (from 3-6pm) they can get practical experience by taking part in our Improv Audition Workshop

On Monday May 8th auditions for our Diversity Fellowship will take place. To apply artists MUST send a headshot and resume to with “Diversity” in subject line during the submission window of April 18 -26th 2018.

The weekend aims to support and engage Toronto’s cultural mosaic population by seeking new voices to develop and train in improvisation tuition free. The Diversity fellowship formerly named Bob Curry Fellowship, boasts a robust fourteen weeks of master improv training and development taught by Second City alum and professionals designed to nurture new, diverse emerging voices for career opportunities.
