Theatre by the Bay (TBTB) is holding general auditions for its summer season in Barrie, Ontario.
Theatre by the Bay is a professional regional theatre arts organization focused on the development and production of new plays about the Central Ontario region. The company is focused on growing the Central Ontario theatre arts community by empowering local theatre artists and engaging audiences in our community with high quality programming.
To be considered for an audition, please submit a cover letter and ONE (1) PDF file that includes both an updated headshot and resumé, and save the file using your name as the file name (ie: Smith.Jane.pdf)
Please send email submissions to email@example.com to the attention of Iain Moggach, Executive Director. If you have a time-preference, TBTB will do its best to accommodate, but as spots are limited, flexibility is appreciated.
Deadline for submissions: February 10, 2018 @ 5:00pm, Eastern Time
General auditions will take place in:
- Wednesday, February 21st and Thursday February 22nd from 6-10 PM
- Friday, February 23rd 6-10 pm and Saturday 24th, 2018 1-4 PM
PLEASE NOTE: Payment is by honorarium.
TBTB promotes an environment of equity, inclusion, and diversity. Artists from underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply for a general audition time. All artists are invited to remove measurements and physical features from the resumé.
Applying artists should be aware that TBTB also does not tolerate any form of harassment of its employees, clients, volunteers, or any persons visiting or spending time on its premises.
Toronto artists who have family/connections in Barrie are strongly encouraged to apply.
Please note: TBTB’s 2018 programming will be announced in February 2018.
