Mixed Company Theatre produces innovative, socially relevant drama as a tool for positive change. Founded as an artist-run collective in 1983, this nationally recognized not-for-profit today uses Forum Theatre and interactive arts to educate, engage and empower audiences in schools, communities and workplaces.
Mixed Company is interested in auditioning versatile non-equity performers ages 18 -108 in preparation for upcoming local and touring productions.
Performers will be asked to prepare one dramatic and one comedic contemporary monologue of approximately 2 minutes each. Performers who sing are welcome to prepare a short piece to be sung a cappella.
We encourage submissions from performers with strong improvisational skills and an interest in touring and performing in non-traditional spaces. We also strongly encourage submissions from performers of colour, Indigenous performers, queer/ trans/ non-binary/ gender fluid performers, performers with disabilities or who are differently-abled, mad performers, performers of all sizes and capabilities, and new generation/ emerging performers.
Please submit your headshot and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org to be considered for an audition, and please let us know if you require any accommodations during the application or audition process.
We look forward to meeting you!
