The Storefront Theatre is pleased to announce their first fully curated fall season for 2015. We are seeking actors of diverse age and race to take part in the following plays.
BIG PLANS by Jeremy Taylor
September 3rd to September 20th
Inspired by real-life events surrounding the macabre and enigmatic Rotenburg Cannibal, this show is a wickedly hilarious satirical exploration of our deepest desires.
THE HOUSE OF YES by Wendy Macleod
September 24th to October 11th
This bizarre, funny, disturbing and vividly written Toronto Premiere is a fascinating blend of frivolous family politics and menacing political allegory.
THE BABY – Adapted by Dan Spurgeon
October 15th to November 1st
Based on the 1973 cult movie, this "jaw-droppingly weird show" (LA Weekly) is half bizarre love story, half perverse fairy tale.
EDMOND – by David Mamet
November 5th to November 22nd
Set in the boiling streets of New York City 1982, Mamet's electric interpretation of a man driven to extremes in search of his destiny could bring the animal out in anyone.
THE CASTLE – by Howard Barker
November 26th to December 13th
The men have returned to the kingdom only to find it overrun by rampant feminism and sapphic love. The Castle questions power, gender, sexuality, race & religion with Barker’s classic explosive style.
THE CHASSE GALERIE created by the Red One Theatre Company
December 17th to December 31st
Inspired by the devilish and celebrated French-Canadian folk tale. An ROTC collective creation that will provide a cheeky alternative to traditional holiday shows.
