Preference will be given to artists who feel that their identity is or has been a barrier to getting work on stage (feel free to indicate this in your submission; you will not be asked how or why at any time during auditions, rehearsals or performances). This includes (but is not limited to) gender expression/identity, ethnicity, physical ability, size, or sexual orientation.
This production will be presented as a part of the Toronto Fringe Festival. Profits will be split between artists involved.
Submission Instructions: Please e-mail headshot & resume to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please prepare 1 contemporary monologue (no more than 1 minute), and 32 bars of a Broadway standard performed in a new, inventive interpretation (e.g., turning a sad song comedic, or an innocent song made raunchy). Only those invited to audition will be contacted. Due to the nature of the show, actors under 18 years of age will not be considered.
