1) Runaway is one-act play featuring a two-handed cast. It tells the story of a school teacher who runs off with one of his high school students. A naive young woman of fifteen at the time, Cathy believes in their true love. After being returned safely to her family, and after her teacher is sentenced to live out the next four years in prison, the only person Cathy can confide in is her disheveled Uncle Mike, but will he be the voice of comfort she hopes to hear?
Cathy (15 - 18 years old) - Actor doesn’t have to be this age, must look & play young.
Mike (39- 42 years old) – Actor doesn’t have to be this age, must look & play older than Cathy.

2) We are looking to cast a second, solo-performance piece to be presented in conjunction with the featured title Runaway. This piece be be between ten and thirty minutes long, and we ask that it deal with one or all of the following themes:
-Infidelity, extramarital affairs
-Complex family dynamics/relationships
-Unconditional love, and what it costs us.
-Sexual exploitation
-Rebellion, and the defiance of expectations.
Please come prepared with a one- to two-minute excerpt of your piece, in whatever form of expression you feel is necessary; whether it be monologue, song, dance, puppetry, mime, clowning, visual art, vocal collage, etc, etc! Please be as creative and unique as you would like!

AUDITIONS: Tuesday May 30th & Wednesday May 31st, 2017
CALLBACKS: Friday June 2nd, 2017

Sides will be emailed to those selected for an audition.
