Education Arts Canada is seeking 1 male-identifying actor for the role of Sir Isaac Newton (played as an adult male with a British accent) and 1 female-identifying actor in the role of Kiara (played as an athletic young teen basketball player/student) for a touring production of Isaac Newton’s Excellent Adventure, a 50-minute, 2-actor musical that will tour schools (Grades 4-6+) in the fall of 2019.

This is a non-union, paid contract: $70 per rehearsal day, $70 for a 1-show day and $100 for a 2-show day.

Funded in part by the Ontario Trillium Foundation and developed in partnership with the Ontario Science Centre, Isaac Newton’s Excellent Adventure is the world premiere tour of Education Arts Canada’s new ScienceJam series for grades 4-6+. We are seeking artists who:
- Share our mission of inspiring and empowering young audiences through musical theatre
- Are very strong and versatile actors and singers, with basic dance/movement ability
- Are good team players, able to assist in set load-in, setup, and load-out (at up to 2 schools per day)
- Can provide a Vulnerable Sectors police background check if chosen for the role
- Can commit to the full schedule, including many early-morning calls

Most performances are produced by All Together Now Corporation and presented by Education Arts Canada. Education Arts Canada is one of Canada’s leading presenters of touring educational theatre, reaching close to 100,000 students and educators every year.
