Port Moresby Productions is now accepting submissions for the November 2017 production of
“THE LADY IS A BOTHER”
By Bil Antoniou
This production is a two-act play that will be performed at the Red Sandcastle Theatre from November 8-18.
During production of the Victorian drawing room comedy The Lady Is A Bother, a mysterious woman appears to accuse the play’s lead actress Karen Fielding of having been the cruel teacher who ruined her childhood. Karen insists on her innocence, but the effect of a finger pointed eventually sends the whole group to a small town in Northern Ontario where secrets will be revealed and prejudices faced at a local diner.
Auditions will be held on the afternoons of Friday, August 11 and Sunday, August 13 at Collective Studio (664 Lansdowne Avenue).
Rehearsals begin mid-to-late August and will take place on two weekday evenings and one afternoon on weekends.
The production will be applying for the Artists’ Collective Policy through the Canadian Actors Equity Association. Equity Members are invited to apply.
