Selah’s Song is an original, heartwarming family-friendly musical written by Artistic Director Johnny Wideman with music by Bryan Moyer Suderman. The musical tells the story of a young girl whose courage inspired a village, and whose song became an anthem for peace. Selah, a burgeoning songwriter, is excited to hear that her father is coming home from the war in West Candling. But, the joy of having her family reunited is short-lived when a harsh War Tax is started instead. Inundated with catchy pro-war propaganda songs, Selah is inspired to share her own music with the village, creating some competition for the King.

We seek four non-Equity artists who are interested in touring and a community-based approach to theatre. We are looking for artists who have experience in puppetry, are comfortable singing folk music and playing an acoustic folk instrument (guitar, standing bass, banjo, fiddle, violin, ukulele, mandolin, glockenspiel, harmonica, or percussion).

Applicants of all races, ethnicities, sexualities, genders, and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Anyone is welcome to apply, but please note some tour venues, as well as our van, is not wheelchair accessible.
