What is the INDIE X Conference ?
INDIE X is a two-and-a-half day professional development conference at The B Street Arts Hub, from March 12 – 14, 2026 created for independent live performance creators working in theatre, dance, and opera. INDIE X offers a concentrated series of gatherings that amplify diverse voices, create meaningful connections, and importantly, provide the resources that independent artists need to thrive in a rapidly changing sector.
INDIE X’s main goal is to offer indie artists and indie companies the tools they require to increase their financial sustainability. From Tax workshops, grant-writing sessions, to network speed-dating with Artistic Directors currently leading the sector, INDIE X has something for everyone.

Yes, the space is accessible! Located at 1100 Bathurst Street, B Street is fully accessible with an accessible entrance, a lift, and accessible washroom.
Limited parking is available at the west side of the building on Patrick McGregor Lane.
Personal laptops are not required to attend the the conference but are recommended for note-taking purposes.
Light refreshments and snacks will be provided throughout, as well as tea and coffee, but no full meals until our community meal on the final evening (March 14).
If you’re a TAPA Member, the conference is priced as a one-time entrance fee, per person, for access to all sessions over the 2.5 days. This one-time fee is $25 +HST.
If you’re NOT TAPA Member, the conference is priced as a one-time entrance fee, per person, for access to all sessions over the 2.5 days. This one-time fee is $35 +HST.

TAPA bookkeepers will send an invoice for the one-time conference fee that contains a secure credit card portal. Once paid, you’ll be sent a link to sign up for each of the panels listed above.

TAPA is currently accepting signups for TAPA Individual Members and Member Companies. INDIE X will be open for public access Friday, February 13, at 1 PM.
