Thank you to the numerous TAPA Members who engaged and participated in the 2017-2018 Dora Mavor Moore Awards Review and Membership Vote. TAPA held extensive consultations in the form of 5 Division Town Halls, 1 Panel Discussion, 1 Community Convening, 1 Community Consultation, many individual conversations and a review of Dora juror survey responses from the past 3 years. As stated in STANDING STRONG, the TAPA strategic plan, the Board of Directors and TAPA staff team are committed to continually reassessing the Dora Mavor Moore Awards every 5 years in response to the changing cultural environment and evolving needs of the TAPA membership.

As part of the Review, TAPA announced on April 25 a gender neutral policy for performance awards, press release available here.

TAPA now announces ratified changes to the Dora Mavor Moore Awards based on the TAPA Membership vote completed and tabulated on May 1, 2018. All votes were weighted equally, with individual company ballots remaining confidential. These results are released in aggregate, with each item ratified by receiving 60% majority support. The changes are effective immediately and are implemented for the 2018-2019 Dora Awards season.

Revised Definition: Outstanding Touring Production - All touring productions which meet all the eligibility criteria can be registered.
