Audition, Industry Listing.

After their debut at 2017 Toronto Fringe Festival, Prairie Fire, Please returns to the Fringe this summer with a weird little play about commercialized feminism.

We're looking for three actors to play multiple roles in a dark comedy about a failed potato entrepreneur who enters the t-shirt game to revitalize their dying career.

The Company:
Prairie Fire, Please is Madeleine Brown (Nightwood Theatre Innovator 2016-2017, IMP [Epigraph Collective/Filament Incubator]) and Aaron Jan (Cahoots Dramaturgy Intern 2017-2018, Silk Bath [Silk Bath Collective/Next Stage Theatre Festival]).

According to Aaron, you may recognize Madeleine as the person who writes those Intermission articles about cooking. According to Madeleine, you may recognize Aaron as the person you see aimlessly walking around Loblaws like a lost dog. Last year, to everyone's surprise, the company had an almost sold-out run of their play, Madeleine Says Sorry.

The You:
We are looking for three actors who are quick on their feet and good with text to fill multiple roles. We especially encourage submissions from actors of all genders, ethnicities and abilities. This is a non-union production.

B – Failed potato entrepreneur who enters the t-shirt game. Hungry, ambitious and ready for a comeback.
C/E – Fellow entrepreneur who dates B./Dastardly, openly antagonistic rival t-shirt seller.
D/I – Emerging painter./Communications mogul and B’s idol.
