Seven Siblings Theatre is now looking for actors for our upcoming production of Frozen by Bryony Lavery.
THE STORY: One evening ten-year-old Rhona goes missing. Her mother, Nancy, retreats into a state of frozen hope. Agnetha, an American academic, comes to England to research a thesis: "Serial Killing—A Forgivable Act?" Then there's Ralph, a loner who's looking for some distraction. Drawn together by horrific circumstances, these three embark on a long, dark journey which curves upward into the light. Angry, humane, and compassionate, FROZEN is an extraordinary play that entwines the lives of a murderer, the mother of one of his victims and his psychologist to explore our capacity for forgiveness, remorse, and change, after an act that would seem to rule them out entirely.
We are casting for the roles of:
Nancy (Age 40+): Warm. Proactive. Stuck. Mother of a murdered girl.
Ralph (Age 40+): Cold. Fastidious. Clever. A serial killer.
Both roles require a strong British dialect.
The role of Agnetha the psychiatrist has already been cast.
We can accept union or non-union actors under a CAEA Artists Collective Policy. The show will operate under a formal profit share. We welcome applications from actors of all backgrounds, beliefs, cultures, and identities.
PROJECT TIMELINE: Rehearsals will be part time from mid April until late May. Performances will take place at the b current Studio Theatre from May 24th to June 3rd.
The play will be directed by Seven Siblings Artistic Director Will King.
To be considered for a role, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org BY THURSDAY APRIL 5TH with your headshot and resume. Early submissions are encouraged. Selected candidates will be contacted directly to audition on April 7th.
