You are cordially invited to the Language for Love Gala, hosted by Spur-of-the-Moment Shakespeare, to benefit their annual project, Shakespeare in Hospitals, which has been touring the Greater Toronto Area since October.
The project that is exactly what it sounds like. For the last six years we've created new shows, using Shakespeare’s words, designed specifically for patients in hospitals across the GTA, like Mount Sinai, Sunnybrook and CAMH and more. And best of all, we provide this service absolutely free of charge to the hospitals.
Our theme this year has been “finding a common language”, and we would love to share our beautifully crafted, new story using pieces of the Bard’s work with you. Join us at The Citadel Theatre for an evening of experiencing the healing powers of art and communication. You have two nights to choose from, each one as glam and galactic as the other: Thursday December 15 and Friday December 16.
We begin at 7pm with a cocktail hour, complete with a red carpet, followed by our performance at 8pm, and reception afterwards including refreshments and light snacks. Meet and mingle with the performers we’re so proud of!
This is a ticketed event. Purchase via BPT at http://shakehospitals2016.bpt.me/ or at the door, cash only.
Regular: $20, Arts Worker/Student: $15
