The Administrator & Executive Assistant to the Artistic Director is a vital coordinating role between the offices of Artistic Director and Producer.
This position is responsible for the coordination of Soulpepper’s contractual requirements relating to its theatrical productions and ancillary activities. Under the direction of the Producer, the Administrator will be responsible for the timely contracting and processing of artist contracts, coordination of the scheduling and management of the Soulpepper Academy and touring programming. Secondly, this position will provide high level administrative support to manage the efficient operation of the office of the Artistic Director.
- Arts Administration degree or related field, plus a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an administrative position.
- A thorough knowledge of theatrical associations is an asset and without limitation these include: Canadian Actors Equity Association, Associated Designers of Canada and Playwrights Guild of Canada.
- Scheduling, presentation skills, meeting management, administrative writing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office an asset. Strong interpersonal skills.
- It is understood that the Administrator and Executive Assistant to the Artistic Director will maintain a high-level of professionalism in all communications with internal and external stakeholders will exercise a high degree of discretion and is expected to maintain confidentiality in dealings with Staff, Directors, and Third Parties.
