Employment Opportunity - Customer Service Positions: Event Attendant - Civic Theatres Toronto
We are currently seeking customer service reps. in the position of Event Attendant at the Sony Centre location to join our team for our 2017/18 season. These are seasonal part-time casual hourly positions for customer service oriented team players that thrive in a fast paced, theatre environment. This role consists of working evenings & weekend hours as required. This position is a member of IATSE Local B-173, but is exempt from the sign up requirement. Events are staffed solely at the discretion of Sony Centre. Full details are outlined in the CBA.
The responsibilities are: General event set up and tear down, Liaising with clients to ensure events are executed to their satisfaction, Interacting & greeting patrons in various customer service roles, Organizing guests for artist meet & greets, Backstage dressing room and crew catering set up and tear down, Overseeing and serving food and beverage stations for events as needed, Accepting and organizing deliveries.
Position Requirements: Excellent interpersonal & relationship building skills to communicate effectively & diplomatically with patrons, clients and staff, Crowd management skills, including ability to coordinate orderly movement & maintain safety of large numbers of people in states of high emotion, Coordination & planning skills, excellent oral & written communications skills, Knowledgeable in safety and emergency response procedures to identify, assess & resolve patron problems Smart Serve Certified & legal age to serve alcohol in Ontario.
