TIFF, a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization, is hiring for the full-time position of: Manager, Government & Foundation Relations.

Reporting to the Director, Government & Foundation Relations, the Manager builds strong partnerships between TIFF and its supporters, with a focus on government agencies. This includes fundraising, grant-writing and reporting, relationship management, and storytelling. The Manager engages will all aspects of TIFF’s work, including film heritage, media/visual arts, filmmaker development, tourism, and city-building.

Leading research, development, and creation of funding requests and final reports for submission to supporters for various TIFF initiatives. Grant maintenance including filing required reports and surveys, ensuring compliance with government/foundation contracts, invoicing and collection of funds, development of budgets, etc.
Acting as lead contact for TIFF’s relationships with key government agencies, including: City of Toronto; Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport; Ontario Arts Council; Department of Canadian Heritage, etc. Maintaining knowledge of government agencies, staffing, issues, trends, etc.
Project management for a number of TIFF initiatives involving government and foundation supporters.
Working with other internal and external stakeholders to develop and manage new projects for funding. Maintaining strong working relationships with staff, volunteers, and constituents. Supervising internal data requests, sign-off processes, planning meetings, volunteers, and administration for the Department (including budget-tracking and planning).

Start Date: December 1, 2015 or earlier (flexible)

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience fundraising / government relations in the cultural sector
Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent organizational skills, with superior attention to detail.
