We're looking for someone to bring their communications skills & amazing organizational ability to PACT’s office in Toronto.

An ideal position for a recent graduate or someone looking to support their artistic income, the Membership Assistant reports to the Membership & Communications Manager & is a key part of the PACT team, providing essential support to communications, membership and administrative activities. This is a part-time contract position of up to 20 hours/week. The term ends June 30, 2016 with the possibility of renewal. Key Responsibilities

Membership Support

  • Support labour relations services to members including responding to general inquiries,
    requests for documents and contracts, filing of contracts and relevant documents and
  • Maintain, track and keep up-to-date PACT member files, maintaining the database and
  • Provide general support and information to members as necessary


Communications Support

  • Assist with the implementation of all PACT communications activities including execution and
  • Work with the Membership and Communications Manager to collect and implement all web-site
    changes, keeping website up-to-date at all times
  • Contribute to PACT’s social media presence, including posting and account maintenance
  • Identify and implement marketing opportunities to increase publication sales and distribution

Administrative Support

  • Research and project coordination as required
  • General administrative duties as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • An emerging arts professional with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Has a background in theatre or not-for-profit arts and may be seeking a career in theatre
  • An enthusiastic, curious person who isn’t afraid to take initiative
  • An excellent communicator who works well within a small team atmosphere and is interested in
    supporting PACT’s membership
  • An independent worker with great time-management and self-facilitation skills
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines, adapting to changing priorities as necessary
  • Experience with Sumac, Constant Contact, Hootsuite and/or Kentico
