Cahoots Theatre is currently seeking a Project Manager to work on an exciting new initiative with the Deaf
Community - The Deaf Artists & Theatres Toolkit (DATT).

Founded in 1986, Cahoots Theatre investigates and examines the complexities of diversity through the creation
and production of new theatre works, development of professional artists, and the engagement of communities.

Project Description
The Deaf Artists & Theatres Toolkit (DATT) aims to increase the feasibility of collaborations between professional
theatre companies and Deaf artists through the creation of a multi-media toolkit, which will include and be informed by the company’s play development and co-production of ULTRASOUND by Adam Pottle. The Toolkit will then be disseminated as a resource for the theatre community-at-large.

Purpose of Job
Reporting to the General Manager and Artistic Director, this position will oversee the execution of all activities related to the Deaf Artists and Theatre Toolkit (DATT) to provide excellent, proactive service in meeting the information needs of the organization, its artists, the production, and the overall initiative.

With an aim of creating an accessible, equitable and supportive environment for Deaf Artists and the Deaf Community, the individual in this position will evaluate the requirements, provide guidance, training, and support services in assistive technology, alternate communication formats and general accessibility practices and standards
for a theatrical environment. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for documenting and compiling a
comprehensive multi-media toolkit that summarizes the process, tools and learnings and will oversee distribution
and dissemination of this toolkit to other theatre companies.
