Temporary position (16 months)

Reporting to the technical director and under the supervision of the assistant technical director, and in collaboration with the rest of the technical drafting team, you will be required to:

· Create, elaborate and up-date on a daily basis, all drawings, from sketches, architectural and structural drawings, engineering calculations, technical riders and other specifications;
· Assist the technical director, the designers and project managers in material research, fabrication process and prototype;
· In collaboration with technical project managers, realize technical drawings in 2D and 3D of set elements, acrobatic equipments and rigging structures;
· Realize construction plans and participate into the elaboration of solutions;
· Respect established procedures and policies for all technical drawings
· Create tools to increase the drawings production;
· Produce, prepare and archive every original drawings and copy;
· Work closely with the other production's members;
· May have to respond to specific technical management request and priorities as they occur.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

· DEC (college-level diploma) in architecture, industrial engineer or mechanical engineer;
· Six to eight years' experience in drawing assist by computer;
· Relevant experience in a show environment and in show element construction;
· Knowledge of the Windows environment and Microsoft Office;
· Excellent Knowledge of AutoCad and SolidWorks (knowledge of Studio Max 3D, an asset);
· Understanding of construction materials and norms;
· Ability to adapt to
