what is cuntpepper?
cuntpepper is a radical cabaret featuring new work by diverse artists. cuntpepper is your opportunity respond to how you see (or don’t see) yourself represented on stage;
to critique/destroy/reimagine the status quo of Toronto theatre. The cabaret will be performed for one night only, Saturday April 23rd, 2016 at the Ernest Balmer Studio in the Historic Distillery District.
what are we looking for?
We’re looking for artists who self-identify as diverse in any way (in regards to race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, ability, age, etc.), who are interested in responding to/challenging/reclaiming a specific work they have seen in a 5-10 minute performance piece. This performance can take any form you choose. We are looking for people who are sick of talking about the lack of diversity on our stages, and instead are ready to show us what diversity in performance can look like.
