Who we are:
We are a young Dora‐nominated theatre company entering our fourth season. We perform outdoors in Withrow Park in Toronto’s East End.
We believe Shakespeare’s work should be a launching point for speaking to today’s issues. We believe building community should be at the heart of making theatre. We believe everyone should have access to the arts, no matter how much money they have in their pockets.
What you would do:
Every summer we rely on a crack team of volunteers to help spread the word to the surrounding community and assist with our front-of-house during the run of the show.
Option 1: Find a buddy and hit up local businesses in Riverdale, Leslieville, Cabbagetown, Corktown and The Beaches with posters and postcards. One shift is 2 - 4 hours and would be any day between July 13 through August 1!
Option 2: Spend a wonderful evening in a park, show people to their “seats” and enjoy a play under the trees. Shifts would be from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at Withrow Park.
The schedule, workload and responsibilities are flexible depending on your availability and interests.
Every volunteer receives one free ticket to see the show! And there will be a volunteer appreciation party where the company will get to thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
When is the show?
Previews August 13 – 16, 2015
Run August 18 – 30, 2015, Tuesday – Sunday (no Monday performances)
