Glass Reflections Theatre Collective is seeking an Assistant Director and Assistant Stage Manager for an upcoming site-specific workshop production entitled “Uni”, written by Liz Laywine and directed by Travis DeWolf.
Young, emerging theatre artists are strongly encouraged to apply as this will be a great learning experience! Must be available during the week of August 16th for tech week/performances.
Assistant Director: attend rehearsals, and assist the director in interpreting the script as needed. Experience in directing is an asset, but not required. Potential assistant directors are theatre lovers who like to read lots of plays in many different types of styles (and feel comfortable interpreting them).
Assistant Stage Manager: attend rehearsals and be in attendance throughout tech week. This show requires the ASM to take on the role of head Stage Manager throughout show week, i.e. call the show and work with the producer to ensure a smooth process. You will work closely with the stage manager leading up to the show, who will provide you with a prompt book and make sure you are adequately prepared for show week. Prior experience as a stage manager preferred.
Please note that these are NON-UNION, volunteer opportunities.
To apply, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org with the heading “Uni AD/AM application”. Please send along a short introduction of yourself, alongside a theatrical resume if you have one.
DEADLINE: Wednesday August 5th, 2015
