IGNITE: A Summer Dance Program - Audition June 5

IGNITE is an one week summer (July 24-29) program for contemporary dance artists.

IGNITE is a collaboration between Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre and TOES for Dance.
Live auditions are on Sunday, June 5 at 1:00-4:30pm at 509 Parliament Street, Toronto.
Video auditions are due June 9.

Through a series of classes, research labs and collaborative rehearsal experiences, the IGNITE program aims to help artists understand a new scope of their own creative possibilities. Dancer applicants will be chosen for their technical facility and artistic curiosity. As this program is not designed to develop technical skills, dancers are expected to have a high level of training and technical ability.

The Emerging Artist Stream is for ages 15+ with minimum 3 years of dance experience.
The Professional Stream is for ages 18+* with a minimum 3 years of high level dance training in any style and a minimum 1 year of professional, paid dance performance/creation experience OR currently attending a post-secondary dance training institution.
(*Exceptionally mature dancers ages 17 and under can be invited to participate in the Professional Stream if the audition panel unanimously agrees to grant admission.)

Dancers who would like to attend a live audition MUST send an Pre-Registration RSVP to indicating:
- Full Name and Phone Number
- If they are interested in being considered for the Emerging Artist Stream, the Professional Stream or both.
