OAS-March1

Young theatre creators, actors, directors, emerging artists and on, we want to collaborate. We want to create a space where we can learn from one another, face our shortcomings, be given the chance to lead, and develop new relationships.

Join Re:Current Theatre for our next Open Artist Share.

We are hosting our next session on March 1st from 1pm-4pm
at Thespacebetweenus (down the alley at 899 Dundas St West, first garage door on your left)

This OAS exchange will focus on: Building a Routine
Guest Leading Artist: James Graham, Toronto-based actor and founding member of The Howland Company.

Building a Routine is how to keep your daily practice alive. We all have periods of time where we’re out of work, jumping from audition to audition. But to stay at our best, we have to keep the craft active and keep ourselves growing artistically. In this workshop, we will explore exercises and options for developing our own routine as theatre artists to keep us ready for anything that the future might bring.

About James Graham :
Selected Theatre: Rupert in NSFW (Studio 180), Titus Andronicus, As You Like It (Shakespeare in High Park, Canadian Stage), 52 PICK-UP (The Howland Company/Toronto Fringe), New Jerusalem (Harold Green Jewish Theatre), The Adventures of a Professional Corpse (Toronto Fringe Festival), South Pacific (U.S. National Tour), Much Ado About Nothing (Shakespeare Theatre Company, Washington D.C.), As You Like It (Two Pence Shakespeare, Chicago), Beyond the Score (Chicago Symphony Orchestra).
Selected Media: Murdoch Mysteries (CBC)
Other: Northwestern University, Apprentice at Williamstown Theatre Festival, Lab Company at Hangar Theatre (Ithaca, NY), Founding Member of The Howland Company, and Acting Fellow at Shakespeare Theatre Company

The OAS operates on PWYC basis to cover the cost of the space. We do not keep any of the proceeds and any surplus is either distributed back to our guests or put towards the next Open Artist Share.

Space will be limited. If you are interested in participating please send a brief email to recurrenttheatre@gmail.com telling us about your artistic goals and why you’d like to be involved (200 word max). We will reply to all requests and provide participants with further information.
