How can we create dramatic text that is grounded and rooted inthe body and movement?
How can we approach the writer's craft and process in a visceral way?
This workshop, led by international theatre creator, Coleen Shirin MacPherson, aims to provoke the imagination and stimulate your ability to play and transform image into writing. MacPherson will lead the group through Ecole Jacques Lecoq’s theatrical principles of movement, space and play and apply this to the craft of playwriting. We will begin our journey with the neutral mask and explore movement and space, nourishing our understanding of situation, character, action, observation and spatial relationships. We will search for our voice and inspiration through an exploration of music and poetry through practical exercises that ignite text.

She has also toured work to Shangai, Montreal, NYC, Chicago and Barcelona.
