Shakespeare Text Tools with Kate Hennig
Three Tuesdays with Kate Hennig! February 7, 14, and 21 from 12PM - 5PM.
Beginning with a joyful, physical exploration of fundamental rhythm, meter, and verse line, participants will move on to detailed analysis and scansion practice both at the table and on their feet. They will explore a scene, where everyone gets to play, with the aid of some "barking" questions from Tim Carroll. They'll finish off with some of the rhetorical structure and action at play in a soliloquy. Throughout the process they will be applying the work to their own audition piece (30 lines max.), and on the final day will work that monologue in front of the group.
