Clown skills are actor skills.
Why do the worlds of clown and “straight” acting have to be on different continents?
Clowns live without a 4th wall. What if we were to break down that wall for all performers?
Clowns make offers to their audience, if they flop, they change what they are doing. What if actors did the same thing?
Students will learn to connect to their audience with and without text through exercises based in “le jeu” and clown. Students will learn about complicity, sensitivity, the flop, and most of all, the willingness to be BAD.
This workshop is for all types of performers: actors, clowns, improvisers, storytellers etc.
Class size is limited.
