100in1DayTO is seeking people like you to share your ideas and inspire change within the city!
Join us on Saturday, June 4, 2016 for 100In1DayTO, a festival of civic engagement that is returning to Toronto for its third year. Co-presented by Evergreen and United Way Toronto, this free citizen-driven festival invites individuals, such as yourself, to find creative, fun or educational small-scale interventions they can host within the city on June 4th.
The idea is simple: Get 100 people or organisations in a city to create an low cost small scale act (a.k.a. urban intervention), and do it all one the same day (1 Day) with the goal of making the city better.
We are hosting free workshops every Wednesday this month to inspire generative, creative and reflective interventions. It's the perfect venue to brainstorm your ideas, get help on hosting an intervention, learn more about 100In1DayTO or see initiatives individuals like you are spearheading.
Since we had our first workshop in April, we have had 20 new interventions sign up. You can explore these on our website. We have also had many conversations on how to animate laneways, generate excitement and how to fund small scale interventions.
We are presenting to you, an opportunity to be the change you wish to see in Toronto and to be an active citizen! Submit your own intervention and check out our toolkits available at your website. If you have an idea you are thinking about, join us at an upcoming workshop or take a look at our Intervention Leader Toolkits for planning, promoting, funding or leading interventions for Urban Agriculture or Laneways.
Questions? Don’t hesitate to ask. We will be happy to guide you through the process!
