Workshop: Boundaries and Consent in Performance Creation

Summary: This workshop will use several consent frameworks to build a vocabulary and foundation, moving into practicing our skills with these tools.

Format: ONLINE

This course will create a foundational vocabulary for several consent frameworks to utilize in the creation of performance. We’ll dive into the practical application of these tools within communication and discuss their use to mitigate power dynamics amongst intersectional identities and experiences.

You'll take away a deep and intuitive understanding of power dynamics. You’ll begin to access the embodied sense of your boundaries.

This is a trauma-informed, neuro-diversity-informed approach to consent that takes the gut-brain axis into account. Consent is more than “no means no” or getting permission. Consent is a language and an embodied practice that we’re expected to understand like breathing. But if you’ve felt the experience of asking for what you want and having a positive conversation around your desires, you know that there’s no going back.

This course is part of The National Society of Intimacy Professional’s (NSIP) accreditation program. Completing this workshop and the follow up survey and comprehension questionnaire, counts towards your certification.
