Join us for our second conversation of Season 2 as we speak with theatre maker and community builder Brendan McMurtry-Howlett.
In the span of less than 5 years, Brendan reimagined a company from his childhood into Shakespeare in the Ruff: the second largest stationary outdoor Shakespeare experience in Toronto - all while keeping his involvement in countless other theatre projects across the country alive and thriving. He speaks with us about the stamina it takes to forge a career in Canadian theatre and the role that patience and listening have played in his creative journey.
What is Dark Nights?
Dark Nights is a salon-style conversation series where local creators are invited to share their philosophies on life in the arts. One Wednesday each month at the Gladstone Hotel, Dark Nights invites a young creative voice to stimulate a conversation with everyone in attendance. With an emphasis on demystifying the creative life, this series challenges our success driven culture head on by establishing space for real conversations. Follow us everywhere @DarkNightsTO to stay up to date.
