A woman meets with her former abuser and interrogates her first sexual experiences in order to uncover why she still struggles with shame. As they recall the past, we are soon plunged into the wild world of adolescence. MORTIFIED is a contemporary re-telling of Hans Christian Anderson’s THE LITTLE MERMAID. Straightforward, humurous and dark, the play explores the many contradictions and dangers a young girl must face in her transformation into womanhood.
