Our FREE Kitchen Table Conversations are an informal dialogue around a BIG question, in a space where - much like a Kitchen Party - it is easy and safe to disagree, air differences of opinions, quickly confirm or repudiate assumptions and organizational dogma, and generate new and innovative ways to look at or resolve a problem.
Securing and retaining sponsors and donors requires a varied set of skills, knowledge and tasks for arts practitioners, especially in today’s highly competitive and complex climate: Relationship building, reporting, understanding the full cycle of philanthropy, prospecting, proposals, marketing communications, & stewardship, among others. And many arts organizations are working with limited human and financial resources. Thus, the BIG question is begged:
GIVEN THE CURRENT COMPETITIVE CLIMATE IN SECURING PRIVATE SECTOR SUPPORT, HOW DO WE STEWARD AND RETAIN OUR CURRENT SPONSORS AND DONORS AND MEANWHILE LEVERAGE AND SECURE NEW SUPPORT WITHOUT SETTING OURSELVES UP FOR FAILURE?
Let’s share our knowledge so that we can all better our practices!
Dancemakers' Kitchen Table Conversations are moderated by Rick Wolfe, a member of the Dancemakers board. In his professional life as a management consultant, Rick has conducted well over 1,500 conversation sessions modelled on the kitchen table for clients across Canada, the US, Europe and Asia.
