Description: The Howland Company Reading Group is a free event held on the last Sunday of every month at Fraser Studios (76 Stafford St., near Trinity Bellwoods Park) where anyone is welcome to cold-read a part in the chosen play (copies are provided and roles are assigned and switched around on the fly) and enjoy a chance to meet and chat with other theatre enthusiasts! This month’s play is Rajiv Joseph's 'Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo'. Nominated for the 2010 Pulitzer Prize, Joseph's play centres around the American-led invasion of Iraq in 2003. The chaotic early days of the conflict are seen from the perspectives of two American soldiers, their Iraqi translator…and a dead tiger at the Baghdad Zoo.
