Workman Arts is excited to announce #BigFeels: Creating Space for Mental Health in the Arts, taking place May 28-30, 2018 in Toronto.

After carrying out 3 public consultations and learning what Toronto’s local community is requesting in terms of learning, support and space, the #BigFeels symposium will explore the intersectionalities of mental health and the arts and will create positive connections in our communities through meaningful conversations!

Presenters include a keynote from Syrus Marcus Ware, Elder Little Brown Bear leading a workshop on Sacred Aboriginal Healing and leading one-on-one discussions with participants, exploring Mad Art and the Political Aesthetics of a Social Movement with Jenna Reid, Twoey Gray and Cassandra Myers, Building a Culture of Positive Workplace Mental Health with Mike Prosserman, and many more!

Explore our Community Resource Sharing area and learn about organizations that are doing work to support mental health, while also participating in some community arts making stations.

#BigFeels will bring together artists with lived experience, arts organizations, advocacy and support mental health organizations and diverse community members to explore and learn together.
